At Allen Memorial UMC, the media of music, drama and visual arts are vehicles for expressing our worship of God and our faith in God and for sharing the ‘Good News’ with others.
Sunday Morning Worship at 11:00 A.M.
This is a traditional worship service with a contemporary flavor.
It often includes dramatic presentations and praise & worship music.
The Chancel Choir usually sings an anthem in this service.
It also provides music for seasonal services throughout the Christian year.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights from 7:30 to 9:00.

A Two-Octave Handbell Choir plays often in this service
as well as in seasonal worship events.
Rehearsals are on Wednesday nights from 6:30 to 7:25.

A Praise Team often leads Contemporary Praise & Worship.
Harriett Jordan is vocalist and pianist.
Charles Allen plays drums.
Guitarists include Kevin Gossage and Oxford College students
Hao Pan (electric bass) and Rui Lou.
Flautist Laurie Oliver plays in this service from time to time
and in seasonal worship services on occasion.

Children and youth sometimes sing in this service on holidays
and significant Sundays in the Christian year.
They receive musical training in a Belleplate Choir that plays
occasionally in Worship.
Bind Us Together
Lyrics:

Bind Us Together (Bob Gillman)

Bind us together, Lord,
Bind us together
With chords that cannot be broken;
Bind us together, lord
Bind us together, lord
Bind us together with love.

There is only one god;
There is only one king;
There is only one body;
That is why I sing …

A collection of monologs reminded us of the events surrounding The Crucifixion in a Good Friday Dramatic Presentation on April 2.
