The Manning Bible Class
Reverend Peter Manning was the pastor of Allen Memorial Methodist Church in the nineteen thirties. His wife, Mrs. Ellen Manning, organized the “Class Of Love” in 1936 . The class was later named The Manning Bible Class.
The Manning Bible Class meets each Sunday at 9:45 - 10:45 AM in the education building,. It is a class of older men and women although there is no age restriction. The class literature is “The Adult Bible Studies“. Carlos Meyer is the teacher. Teaching is lecture style with input and participation by members.
Members nurture each other and support the church activities. The class assembles fruit trays and delivers them to shut ins and sick at Thanksgiving. Another long term project of the class is a monthly donation to Central State Hospital , Milledgeville, Ga. for the forgotten patients.

The Explorers Class
Explorers Class was started in 2010. The members at that time helped choose the name "Explorers" because it was to help us explore our spiritual journey with our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
The Explorers Class meets each Sunday at 9:45 - 10:45 AM in room 203 of the education building. It is a class of men and women, singles and couples.
Richard and Nancy Henderson are leaders of this class.
The class explores our spiritual growth though the study of his Word and fellowship.

The Uncle Nath Class
The class was named "Uncle Nath" for a dynamic North Georgia Conference retired minister, Reverend Nath Thompson, who lived in Oxford in the 1950's and 1960's until his death. he was greatly loved by the people of Allen Memorial United Methodist Church and Oxford,Georgia.
The Uncle Nath Class meets each Sunday at 9:45 - 10:45 AM in the education building close to the chapel. It is a class of men and women, singles and couples who are middle aged through older adults.
"The Adult Bible Studies" is the basic Methodist literature used, which is written by United Methodist Authors. It's taught on a monthly cycle by:

Teaching methods vary, with lectures and lively discussions. The members seek to provide a caring and loving Christian atmosphere for growth and support in the Christian faith. Members encourage each other and are active in worthy projects of the church and community needs. Attendance ranges from ten to twenty members.
