Pastor Beverly became an ordained Elder after a career as a research primatologist (the study of Primates - monkeys, apes and humans) and various corporate roles including the high tech sector.

An important part of her calling is fostering dialogues with the sciences which is nothing more or less than the application of solid Wesleyan principles: scripture, tradition, experience and reason. She is also passionate about interfaith dialogue. These are just two of the reasons she is overjoyed to to be appointed to Allen Memorial and to serve as a Religious Life Fellow of Emory University's Oxford College serving as chaplain for OxWesley.

She is a native of South Carolina, and has lived in various states during her former career. She has two sons and daughters-in-love - Simon & Kim and Jacob & Ann - one grand-cat and two grand-dogs.
